Toronto Gaming Blog · Est. 2019
Charting every dungeon so you never lose the trail.
Long-form RPG deep-dives, roguelike route maps, and honest indie reviews from a crew that actually finishes the games. New guides every Tuesday and Friday.
About the Legion
A trail crew for the games worth playing
We finish the campaign first
No day-one hot takes. Every review lands only after we roll credits and revisit the endgame, so our verdicts reflect the whole journey and not just the tutorial island. Our editors log an average of 40 hours per major title before publishing.
Maps, not marketing
Our roguelike and Metroidvania guides come with hand-annotated route maps built from our own runs. We call out the traps, the optional bosses, and the fastest safe path, the same way a good contour map shows you where the climb gets steep.
A community, camped in the Annex
We host monthly play-and-critique nights at our Dupont Street loft in Toronto's Annex, where readers test builds and argue tier lists over cheap pizza. The best takes from those nights end up shaping the guides you read here.

RPG Deep-Dive Series
Free · new entry every Tuesday
Full-length breakdowns of story branches, build theory, and endgame tuning for major RPGs — typically 3,000–5,000 words with spoiler-gated sections. Perfect if you want the whole map before you commit 60 hours.
Reader reviews
What the community says
★★★★★Their route map got me through the Ascension 20 run I'd bounced off for months. Genuinely the only guide that marked the trap rooms.
★★★★★I trust their reviews because they actually finish the game. The spoiler-gated build section saved me a full respec.
★★★★☆The Annex critique night was a blast — got real feedback on my own indie prototype from people who care. Worth the membership alone.
★★★★★Two solid guides a week, no filler, no day-one hype. This is the only gaming blog I still read cover to cover.
Good to know
Frequently asked
How often do new guides go up?
We publish two long-form pieces a week, every Tuesday and Friday, at 9am Eastern. Occasional bonus patch notes and hotfix breakdowns land in between when a big game gets a major update.
Do you take review-copy sponsorships?
We accept review keys but never paid verdicts, and every sponsored or gifted item is clearly labelled at the top of the article. Our scores stay independent, and studios don't see coverage before it publishes.
Can I pitch a guest guide?
Absolutely. Send a short outline and a writing sample through the contact form below. We pay CA$120 per accepted guide and work with you on edits, and we especially want coverage of overlooked indie and roguelike titles.
Are the Annex meetups open to anyone?
Members get first dibs, but we release a handful of free spots each month for the play-and-critique night at our Dupont Street loft. Doors open at 6:30pm and we usually run until 9. Bring a controller if you have one.
